Sculpted, cave-like plaster architecture, flowing columns and a signature red lacquer — a store for designer label Masaba that feels carved rather than built.
The brief
Masaba is one of India's most recognisable fashion labels, known for bold prints and a strong design voice. The Mehrauli store needed interiors with the same confidence — a space that feels immersive and sculptural, where bridal and couture pieces are displayed like objects in a gallery.
Carved, not built
The defining feature is the architecture itself: continuous, hand-finished plaster that flows from wall to ceiling, forming arches, alcoves and columns that flare like tree trunks into the soffit. Every curve had to be formed true and finished seamlessly, with no visible joints, so the store reads as one sculpted volume.
Colour and contrast
Against the warm, earthy plaster, a glossy red lacquer feature brings in Masaba's signature energy. Dark timber floors and discreetly integrated lighting pull the eye towards each display niche, where lehengas and occasion wear are framed by arched openings.
Execution
Our teams handled the sculpted plaster work, lacquered surfaces and bespoke display fixtures, coordinating closely so every hanging rail, niche and plinth sits precisely within the curving architecture.
